I vote for coating. Depending on the sealants, you end up have to reapply often if the washer fluid reacts to degrade the sealant. Coatings are impervious to chemicals

My bad, let me rephrase. Which glass coating or sealant do you like?

So far I've only used Opti-Glass and I like it a lot. Haven't used my wiper blades ever since it was applied.

Tried carpro flyby but don't think it bonded, I applied it to late in the season, was way to cold to bond... I usually just apply reload to windshield..

I use DP glass coating. Easy to use & has held up well for 3 months now and still going strong.

I've found with flyby30 you need two coats for it to have any durability.

I've been thinking about giving DP a try. I've only ever used pinnacle glass sealant and it really doesn't last long. Not much different than rain-x. Pinnacle's water spot remover / polish works really well though!

When you scrape ice off a windshield do these coatings hold up? Just curious.
