Flex 9ft cord or 25ft cord version - Which one?

Greetings, if you had the option to get a flex with a 9ft cord or the new one with the 25ft cord, which would you buy?

I'm moving, but I don't have garage so the flex would be stored in my basement when I move. I would have an outlet outside to plug into. I think it is relatively close the the driveway. I have to double check. I'm sure that info would be useful.

I'm not sure if the extension cord will be annoying or it would be annoying to have a 25ft cord attached with no option to shorten it.

Also, it would be bulkier when it comes to storing it.

    Appreciate any input.

That's a tough call. The 9ft cord is longer than the cord on a PC, for instance, which gets rid of the extension in some instances. I think on balance the longer cord is going to be better, but if you're working outside, you still may need an extension.

I would go with the longer personally if it were me. Even if you do need an extension cord it won't ever be near the vehicle. That's the most annoying thing to me is keeping the plugs off the car say when you're doing the roof and such depending how you hold the cord. I always drape it over my shoulder so I have it right there and don't worry about getting snagged as I'm moving around the car.

You still gonna need and extension for the vaccum and the halogens, so might as well get the shorter version.
It's a lot easier to store as well.

And get a good extension, something like 12 AWG.

It has its pros and cons. You'll need an extension cord regardless but it is nice when looking at the plug hitting the paint aspect. Also a 9 foot cord is easier to wrap around the tool to store it. I put about a 20 foot cord on my cyclo and like it but I don't like wrapping it up when i store it..

Its just another example of longer is better, even if you needed to use another cord due to distance, you'd be covered

How does a plug at the end of a 9ft cord hit the car?

$40 for 16' of cord is ridiculous if you ask me. You will need a high grade extension cord ( 12 awg) anyway. The $40 will buy a nice one IMO.

Yeah, the GG with the longer cord is $35 more, I know copper is expensive these days, but...that's gotta be a good upsell for them.
