Claying to Polish time
Hello:
I just clayed my car and had no time to polish/seal/wax. Will it be ok to wait 4 days until I can get to it? I planned on washing the car and polishing it in 4 days when I am off again or should I use a quick detailer or anything?
thanks!

Eh, if you keep it garage kept it will probably be okay. Just use some spray wax for now and of course wash it thoroughly before you polish/wax. If it is not garage kept I would go over it quickly with clay one more time, especially if it is being driven more than a few miles a day as there will likely be road tar and stuff on the paintwork behind the wheels.

It is my DD so I can't garage it. So I should use a spray wax now just to be safe? Can't just leave it?
thanks!

I mean I guess if it is just a few days it will probably be fine. I would at least take some QD spray with you to work so you can wipe off any bugs on the bumper and clean up any bird bombs before they start to etch the paintwork.

If you re wash it is should be ok. Keep in mind claying the car is sometimes a 2 times a year thing. Ive clayed a car and waited 2 weeks before polishing as I didnt have time to do so then. I started to re clay for peace of mind (After washing it of course) and ended up quitting after about 2 panels as it was as clean and smooth as when I first did it. You can usually feel the paint too.
Optimal is just setting enough time to do the steps all at once or in successive days but sometimes life gets in the way.
