Black 2007 VW Jetta
A friend of mine has one and would like for me to remove the swirls and I'd like to do it, however I keep reading about these new "self-healing" and "ceramiclear" paints. Does anyone have experience with this year and model car? Any gotchas with this I should be aware of? Thanks.

Re: Black 2007 VW Jetta
VW doesn't have ceramiclear and self-healing coats.
My old Paethon had a hard coat and very easy to scratch, but it wasn't a nightmare to work on really, just go SLOW and be patient.
Your micro fiber towel must be SPOTLESSLY clean! Be very gentle on the final wipe, VERY gentle. It's not a hard coat to work on, just pay attention.
I remember M105 followed by M205 and Menzerna SF4500 did the trick for me. Followed by Black Hole graze and M21 sealant/M26 paste wax.
For the compound step, I had to switch over to a Micro fiber pad, cause a foam pad on the DA polisher wasn't working well.
