noob with a bike ?

well im not new to autogeek been here for about a month or so. but im a new bike owner/rider. im not sure if i can use the same products i would use on my truck the wash/polishes/waxes. have a 2007 victory jackpot/ 1994 suzuki katana. the victory has the chrome package looks beautiful fell in love the first time i set my eyes on it. the suzuki well its older, its a starter bike and is beat up. but works for learning. well i want to wash and detail them but not sure how and what to use???????????
