I didn' notice the holograms until the door was completed + in the shade it,s hardly visible.

I thought someone may learn from my experience, thus the title and the tread.

Re: The master of holograms
the guy's shared and admitted his mistake and wanted to share the laugh in a place where holograms are frown upon. was it a failure? yes. it's ballsy to to this in a detailing forum. i know i wouldn't do what he just did. is it that bad to fail? i think even the best made mistakes especially in the beginning. as i always tell my fellow noobs in detailing, everyone starts knowing nothing. it's all about learning and improving.
maybe danube wanted to try D300 with a rotary and foam pad. i read few people having success with ultimate compound with rotary. it's just it didn't work for him. it's a relief that he didn't do permanent damage and he can finish it good with a DA. i bet he learned finishing rotary work with a DA from Mike Phillips.
@mate, better post a picture after you fixed it and share a picture of how you did it.

I'm glad he did share this. That kind of thing happens very quickly with some BMW and Porsche paint. I saw a flannel shirt put scratches in Porsche paint.

Thank you for getting it right. I'm sure many of forum members experienced even worse episodes, but no one shared. I thought it would be cool to share the disgrace of the first image .. still makes me laughing.
