Alcantara cleaning and care?
Hello,
Seat inserts, wheel, door armrests, and shifter are alcantara leather. I'm sure with use they will get dirty. Can anyone share the best method and products for cleaning and protecting?
Thank you and happy driving!

To make it a little easier to get some info to you:
1.Type in alcantara in the AGO search function
2.Google searches:

Alcantara (sometimes called Escaine or Ultra-suede) is an unique man-made fabric that has very specific cleaning/care instructions. Read through these sites for some good info, if you so desire.............Bob

Re: Alcantara cleaning and care?
This question comes up from time to time, what I usually do is a search on this forum using the term Alcantara
From this thread,

Do a search using the word suede as I think I saw someone post a successful method they used to the forum but don't remember where.
Usually you're limited to a vacumm and a lint brush as applying most cleaning liquids is going to alter how the suede looks.
Here's a website that discusses how to work on Alcantara, which I think is functionally like suede.
General washing instructions
Washing
Stain Removal
The stain removal link does a good job of breaking down stains into either Water-soluble stains or Non Water-soluble stains and the remedies.
Still doesn't read like it's easy and you have to be careful so anyone reading this thread and trying to remove stains out of Alcantara use your own judgment when following the instructions from the above website or any website.
Good luck...
