    Removing Paint Splatter

I'm working on a car that apparently rolled through some wet paint (possibly latex house paint) resulting in paint splatter on the painted side panel. Are there any safe methods to remove the splatter without risking damaging the finish?

    Claying did not work

That was the first thing I tried and it didn't budge any of it. It is pretty thick especially at the bottom near the tire.

Maybe try some warm water and some APC. If i remember right latex paint is water soluble. If that doesn't work then maybe try some of those plastic scraper blades but be careful since it is on paint. May need a polishing when finished.

Try a tar remover full strength. If the paint is water soluble there is a good chance that it make brake down the paint.

I would say claying as well. What kind of clay are you using? There are different types, some have more bit than others. Sounds like you need quite a bit of bite!!!

I know I am thread hijacking, but what is the strongest clay? One that would be good for use on overspray on paint?

try some mineral spirits qand just be sure to follow up with immediate waxing to protect the paint because it will strip any wax on the paint currently

i woudl caly it first, if that dosent work then I would move onto a strong painit cleaner(megs deep crystal paint cleanser is otc and strong enogh), followed by another claying (yes the clayinig helps).
If that dosent work try some isopropal alchole. depending on how big the splatters are, put some on a q-tip and work it in.

If none of this works then as a last resort use mineral spirits. these things can be very potent, so if you dont need to use them dont, and if it you have to be carefull.
