Best carts for detailing?

What are some good characteristics of a detailing cart?

1. Mostly plastic construction (no rust, etc) so you can wash it if needed?
2. Good casters with locks
3. Ability to mount halogens?
4. built in electrical outlet strip (or add one).
5. number of shelves (3 or 4)
6. storage pockets for chemicals

Here is an image of a Luxor cart that is around $120. I know you can get cheap carts at Northern tool but they are sheet metal and not been impressed. The Rubbermaid plastic carts are near $200.

Today I don't have a cart and this is a fabulous idea!!

I's the cart you posted the one you use? Personally, the plastic molded cart seems like the one that's makes the most sense to me.

I wonder who carries such a cart? I may do some research online and look locally...

I got a Craftsman project center for Christmas on sale for half price ($100). It's metal, but I put a coat of wax on it. It has provisions for peg board hooks on the sides, and I hang brushes, etc. there, and it has a power strip built in. There's 4 drawers for towels and such, and a flip up hardboard lid. Because of the weather, haven't got a chance to actually use it yet, but hoping it will suit my needs. Could probably use a clamp on halogen light on the handle, or set a portable on on the top. I have pedastal halogens now, so probably won't buy another kind.

It's kind of a pain to put the casters on, the drawer slides are not the best to work with.

I do not have a cart but starting to think I want one given I have put my polisher on the ground, on the lower shelf of my stool, or on the workbench (not a smart idea once) when taking a break.

My gut feel says I want something a wee bit longer. I have seen someone actually mount their halogens to these as well.

You can buy direct from Luxor and google will reveal many many more sellers. I also discovered by coincidence that another popular detailing place sells a Meg's cart which looks very very similar to the one from Luxor.

I have seen the Griot's cart but thought plastic would be better than all metal and something bigger.

I am wondering what mods people have made to make it more usable.

I saw a cart at my local detail store. Its a Meguiar's plastic cart that sells for I think 130.

First off - new guy here, so I'm no expert, but really appreciate this site and its members.

Regarding the cart, I picked this unit up at my local Sears - They also have a hard plastic model, but I opted for this one becuase of the swivel of the casters.

Used it a few times and has made things SO MUCH better.

I have been looking a carts myself to help me organize products. Up to now, I have been stuffing things into my apron. I can see the cart useful for storing DA, rotary, pads etc...Tired of tripping over cords. I saw one on Ebay--welding cart

This is the one I use but mine is gray . I also have one at work I like the heavy plastic ones then metal never have rust issue with plastic and the metal tend to start looking like hell after a couple of months .
