    1975 Honda Goldwing

    1975 Honda Goldwing

A friend of mine recently purchased this low mileage 1975 Honda Goldwing. It hasn't been started in a while but the owner assured him it runs good, just needs a little cleaning.

If he gets it running I'm going to try to bring it down for and Extreme Makeover...

I looked the polishable surfaces over pretty good, the paint, plastic, aluminum, chrome and seats are all in excellent restorable condition.

I think the Goldwing was introduced in 1974, not sure but regardless it's an early model just waiting for some TLC.

No wonder it hasn't been started, there is a vise grip on one of the lines...

Can't wait for the before and after pics if you get to work on it!

That looks pretty clean for a bike that age! Wonder how many miles are on it....

You are correct sir. The first years they had 900cc engines. A long way from the 1800cc engines they run today.

    Actually the first year model Goldwing was 1975. 75-79 they were 1000's, 80-83 they were 1100's, 84-87 1200's, 88-00 1500's. The 01-present are 1800cc.

That was a great motorcycle. I had black 1977 model. It was smooth running, fast, and super quiet. The motor looked huge when looked down on it. You could be running 50mph at other side of an intersection from a red light. And it still had a ton of throttle left. They are the price of nice cars now!
