Longest lasting sealant or wax?
Can anyone tell me what the longest lasting sealant or wax is (that can be applied by hand)?
I'm only able to do a 'real' cleaning/waxing, etc... once a year, and want the most durable, long-lasting product I can find.
Have any 'official' tests been done which show that 6 months later (for example), products A, B and C were still going strong while X, Y and Z were not... I've read through several topics comparing products, but most talk about the look of the finished product, not the durability.
If nothing 'official' exists, what are some of your personal recommendations?
I've seen that Collinite 845 claims to last for up to 6 months, 476s for up to a year, Optimum Opti-Seal for several months, etc... But I've also read other good reviews on products from Dodo Juice, FK, etc...
Cost is not a concern, nor is the finished look (unless it's really bad).
For the record I have a black Audi, so if product A and B are equal in durability, but one is better on black, would appreciate knowing that as well (but again, in general, looks are not that important, really just want durability).
Thanks!

Colinites 915 or 476.... 2 coats over a properly peeped surface is one of you best options.... 915 I use on black and like. 915 over do policoat is a very nice combo if your want a sealent and a wax

Try some Optimum Car Wax (spray wax) every 4 months on top of the yearly sealant you use. Only takes a second after a wash while/after you dry.

Klasse AIO toped with 2-3 coats of Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze. Amazing shine and great durability. And one of my favorite combos. The KSG really brings the shine.
I usually top this with Collinite 845 for the winter with no problem. But you could use any beauty wax as your topper.

845 is a liquid... is easier to get THIN and thus easier to remove. 915 has the highest carnival content out of all the coli waxed advise considered their beauty wax. A 30 dollar tin will last you a life time and it gets a couple more months durability vs 845. I think coli claims 8 months for 845 and 10 months for 915. I use both. I have yet to use them side by side but it your only gonna wax twice a year I'd go with 915. Just use a good paint cleaning lotion if ur not going to polish the paint before you wax and never try to use them I'm the sun or on hot panels!
476 can be a bear to work with from what I've read... same durability as 915 cheaper price not as good of looks.... but like I said that is all not from personal experience.
Hope the info helps. And I have heard good things about klasse but never used it... it has a little bit of a learning curve with it from what I read

From the Collinite website
Liquid/Gel Wax (845 and 925): 5-7 months depending on UV exposure.
Paste Wax (476, 885): 9-11 Months depending on UV exposure.
Marque D’Elegance (915): 8-10 months depending on UV exposure

I stand corrected.... only 6 months for 845 apologies!

Thanks. I guess I should have looked at their website... So it seems to me that 915 might be my best option as it offers some of the longest protection and is easier to apply than 476.
