Best paint sealant ti use during winter

I am moving to Michigan during the winter so I can attend Law School and I want the best paint sealant for the winter. I am not to concerned in looks, I am more concerned in durability. I would like it to last about 4-6 months. I know it is still a long time till winter starts but I jus want to find good products so I can start buying them.

I've heard nothing but great things about Collinite #845, though I've never tried it. Description says protection up to 5 months, even for non garaged vehicles. Also check out Collinite #476. Also these aren't sealants sorry, but they are products that should last a winter.

DP Poli-Coat Paint Sealant is said to last 6 months.

I've had great luck with Zaino Z2 and also with Collinite 845.

Depending on which law school (Lansing, Ann Arbor or Detroit). Alot of Michigan AG forum members in the area would be able to help you out. My suggestion would be any of the Collinite 476 or 845. I used 476 back in October 2009 and it is still beading up. No sealant. If you want it depends on your taste and budget.

Depending on were you are coming from. Michigan is know for its road salt and pot holes. The farther north you go they mix sand which gets into everything. You will hear enough Michigan jokes when you get here.

Keep it washed as best as you can !!! Wait till Spring, or head farther south every so often.

I will be going to Lansing. how do you keep your car clean? do you wash it with the waterless wash? will the collinite good for protection against salt?

Collonite is supposed to be long lasting as is Finish Kare 1000P

I use WDGPS 3.0 it's the best sealant in my arsenal, i got 6 months of durability out of 2 coats on my daily driver (keep in mind, my daily driver is garage kept at night and when i'm home). I live in Houston Texas, so our winters are very mild compared to Michigan, but we did have snow for a few days this past winter. I'll be doing a full detail on my daily driver in a few weeks, just waiting for AG to get the Aztec extractor back in stock so i can make another order.

My car won't be garaged so I need something that willbe durable for a car that isn't kept in the garage.

Collinite 845 and Collinite 476s (845 being the easier of the two to use); and Finish Kare 1000p. Based on everything I have read, these three will give you the best durability and protection of anything sold by AG.

Duragloss 105 is also supposed to be pretty durable, especially when combined with 601 Polish Bonding Agent.

During the winter months Optimum No Rinse will be your best friend.
