I would take this over the Elantra. This is comparing apples to apples right?

That's actually Kia's Sonata. They use the same everything, just different exterior and interior. I went to a Kia dealer yesterday, front end is beautiful, mid way to the rear is horrendous.

Just bought my wife a 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T. It is an AMAZING vehicle.
274hp and 269#/ft. of torque - from 1750-4500 rpm! Oh, and we have averaged 27mpg in the first ~1000 miles.

Will post pics of it after I get to detail it properly.

You're correct. The Sonata is its direct competitor. I like that the Kia even has a lower starting price. I also agree about the the rear half of the car not looking as nice as the front, but it's a wash compared to the Sonata's rear.

while not a Hyundai, i stumbled across the new civic (i've always had a thing for them) which was do for a new design/overhaul for quite some time and the coupe doesn't look all that bad, the sedan not really a fan of. IMO, both honda and toyota need to step up their game even more, as Hyundai and Kia are right there in front of them and are not going away anytime soon...
