How long does ceramic coating survive on car?

I recently purchase and place nano ceramic coating on the surface of car. Anyone please tell me, nano coating for car does work for 5 years?

depends on a lot of factors:

Which coating?
What type of exposure/use is the vehicle undergoing?
How is it cared for / washed, etc.

Is this a daily driver or garage queen?

How long anything lasts on a car depends on how the car or more specific the coated paint t is touched.


So - How do you wash/touch your car?

Correct lots of factors come into play as mentioned but I was trying with McKee Paint coating this weekend and did a 50/50 with it and it's pretty cool to see how you can see it's a distinct layer on the paint

I would never have guessed a coating had that much of darkening effect.

Thanks for bringing up the topic. My uncle just asked me to polish his black 2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP 11,000 miles. I’ve never tried using a coating but I’m thinking this might be the perfect first try.

The Solstice is obviously hardly ever driven and always stored indoors. I’m guessing a coating on this car could last easily 2-3 years. I’ll have to wait till spring to try it out.

The three coatings I’m looking at are:

Mckee’s, Gyeon or Gtechniq.

Ease of use mckees hands down, and from the pic I posted u can see it adds a nice deep coloring layer of ceramic down.

Np, I coated a new clients car a few weeks back and he had a junk hood in the back he let me have. Now that I think about it I might just do a short (no waiting 2 years) duration test on it.. Lol
