    3m pads

Was looking at buffing pads and noticed 3m perfect it 8" pads(single sided) are substantially more expensive than just about anything else ($25each) are you just paying for the name or are they top notch in performance and durability?

If your using a rotary I really like the black waffle pads. They are tough to beat for concave and convex surfaces and in general are very durable. I like how the foam wraps around the sides of the backing plate. I would give one a try unless you are using a forced rotation or DA.

Wow, they are pretty expensive. I've used some in the past, and don't find them to be so much different than the Lake Country offerings.

I think the 8" Lake Country pads are about half that price. Some of the nicest pads in the industry too.

Yes, I'll be using a rotary with a 7" backing plate. I've got a few different pads from different manufacturers, but I think it's time to buy a dozen or so all at once and from the same line.

it's a toss up between the 3m and lake country ccs curved edge. I've got the megs yellow and burgundy soft buff pads and they're allready starting to shed foam, so I don't mind paying extra for the 3m if they're gonna hold up.

I like all the different levels of cut in the ccs, but that means I will just end up buying more, where the 3m is just a white, black and blue. 3 or 4 of each and no overthinking.

It could even be that the 3M pads are made by Lake Country, or Buff and Shine.

I think Lake Country has a line of waffle pads that have a similar line up to the 3M.

3M makes their own pads, they have been in the pad business for a really long time. Floor care pads, etc. I've been selling them since 1991 and their competitors too. What I will share since I know our wholesale costs for floor care pads is that auto buffing pads regardless of the brand are ridiculously over priced and marked up beyond belief.

    Good to know!

That's probably across the board too.
