Re: Rock chips on Ford Ruby Red , Dr. Colorchip , etc...
That looks quite a bit lighter. I've also had Dr Colorchip send me a bottle of pure white to add to a v
Blue paint to lighten it up, that was for a '72 VW. In this case obviously you would need black to darken it up. They didn't charge me anything. If you were to go that route you need to take the mixing slow. Add a little and check it, if it's still too light add a little more and check it, etc. If you go add too much there's no going back.

Re: Rock chips on Ford Ruby Red , Dr. Colorchip , etc...
I just did a carbon black metallic Mercedes and it matches so good it will pass the 1 foot test. I have not had a color that failed to match so far. When the color looks light it has been because the chip just needed another dab after the blending solution was used to much and removed more than needed. A second dab usually does the trick.

Looks like a great match. On chips that size I have had good results with multiple coats (applications) that fill the holes better because of the size. Almost looks from the pictures that they still need leveling a bit more. The worst that can happen is you get to start over and practice more.
