Re: How long Csl & Exo took me
I think you could have cut time off using essence. Just my opinion cause the working time is short and no needed wipe down with fluids after words.
Some don’t like it but it’s nice imo cause it literally one pass and done if you paint is acceptable after that one pass. It’s not a compound however so it’s not gonna work miracles

Eh, quicker than me. Usually takes 4 to 5hrs to wash, decon, prep car, about 8 to 12 compound polish, 4 to 6 coating paint, trim, glass, wheels and tires.
Kinda easily distracted at times so it's not all work, all the time...lotsa wandering around in garage.

That's not bad time. I find it so much faster when you have two people doing the coating. I'm curious, how long did you wait between the two coats of CSL, and between the CSL and first coat of EXO. The last person I heard of using two coats of EXO ended up with hazing issues after 12-14 hours.

I did one coat of csl and went back to the first panel I started with and applied a coat of exo. Waited 12 hours and applied a second coat of exo. Looks very clear

I also wander around in the garage, usually because I forgot what the hell I was doing in there!

Don't know how I misread that. I thought it said you put 2 coats of CSL and 2 EXO. Yeah one CSL and 2 EXO is right.

Re: How long Csl & Exo took me
Seems about right to me. We just did a new Dodge Ram 2500 in CSL and Exo. Took two of us sixteen hours by the time we did all the prep and coating. Granted it’s a huge truck. That time also included full interior along with wheels off for coating and all trim coated.
Also did a Subaru WRX recently. Took two of us five hours to correct it. Total into the job was two guys and thirteen hours. Again, including interior and all trim along with wheels off.
We didn’t wait too long between coats. Once we went all the way around, we started over with the next layer. No hazing issues at all.

The coating process is so much faster with two people in my experience.

It really is. I know it’s not possible for everyone. I typically won’t book a coating unless both of us are available. It really is easier and quicker with more hands and more eyes.
