Because so far all we've got is that lousy pic from the absolute worst distance and angle to go on.

And don't go getting your feelings hurt because it truly is a lousy photo.
Honestly bro the photo may not be enough to convince you but i dont want to do all that. You know the trunk on the kia I'd have to take the plate off and it's just a waste of time.

I'm buffing it all out, trunk included starting tonight and going to use carnubaflocken creme. You will just have to take my word for it if all those pics aren't enough.

The best I can do is take a picture tonight from any angle you want after I wash it and before I buff. Then I'll take a pic after detailing it this weekend from the same angle.

I spend every weekend taking care of this car so I'm super frustrated with this crappy coating. Enough that I'm not going to work tomorrow so I can start to fix it. Not to mention the 150 bucks worth of crappy product

It's all good, I'm just glad it didn't turn into a major disagreement between me and you because I didn't mean to agitate you. Maybe I should've chosen better words..

But not all is lost, you could still have a chance of documenting the difference in the paint by laying a tape line down the middle of your hood and showing a 50/50 after you've polished off the coating and returned it to bare polished paint, which according to you should look alot better than the "rubbery" state it's in right now?

You can do 50/50 shots but in reverse steps.

Ok I'll do that but the only thing is the lighting in the garage isn't as good as the sun but I'll try to take it outside or hold up a flashlight

Ive seen This type Of result before. Ended Up the guy used a heavier cut Polish/Compound With his light polishing/finishing Pad. Must Have confused the bottles. It made his Black paint Look hazy/rubbery/dull. Not Saying That's What you Did Just Saying i've seen This before.

Was it the same coating. I think that' surface cleansing polish dusting up so much didn't help

Do you guys think menzerna 2500 on a finishing pad would be too strong for this job? I've only compounded once and this would be my third time using a medium polish. All the other times I used ultra fine mostly or regular finishing polish and pads.

I'm just wondering if you guys think menzerna 2500 would be to aggressive for this job given the condition of the paint?

You don't need a medium polish, just use a finishing polish 3500/3800.

Yeah ur probably right, I'm starting now I'll just use the 3500

Sometimes it seems like a medium polish followed by an ultrafine makes it look better

That maybe, but your paint is in pristine condition..all your trying to do is remove the coating.
