between the rupes 15 bigfoot lhr mark ii & lhr es ? what does lhr & es stand for ? I sometimes see them marked differently. are they both the same machine ? does it come with a twenty five foot cord ? thanks

Don't know what it means but the Mark 2 version is the newer one. Makes better use of the power

HD is the identification for the 25' cord. I believe the lhr and lhr es are the same thing as some just don't put the es on the title, but mark II as mentioned by vobro is the newer Rupes.

thanks guy's. I did a little more digging & I think es is first gen. & the mark ii is second gen(newer or better version). and maybe or maybe not the first gen. is not available anymore.

    Correct.

First generation is called Legacy and uses the letters ES to designate it as such.

Second generation is called Mark II

I cover all the technical aspects of both the Legacy and the Mark II tools in the how-to book I wrote for the RUPES tools, pads, products and their paint polishing system. See page 11 for specs on the Mark II

Tech specs for the Legacy are on pages 9 and 10

From the tech spec which display that 21 and 15 have the same 15 mm stroke and same 5” backing plate showing me that Rupes actually not paying attention to details!!!

    Re: what's the difference ?

thanks for the reply Mike. I'm looking to step up from the 7424xp. I think I've mastered using the 7424 but feel a little intimidated by the flex 3401. the rupes 15 mark ii seems to fit my level of expertise(and I'm liking that it's made in Italy). I have a black vehicle, a white vehicle & a repainted 1972 elcamino(plenty of holograms to get rid of) & I think the rupes is a good fit. I also like the 25 foot cord that can be ordered with the rupes. thanks for the info I'll be sure to read it all.
