68 Red Firebird Mono Paint Layer
from 10 feet this looks great. Up close the owner has tried hand polishing and minor scratches are throughout. He has asked me to get his polishing techniques completly. Shinny , man is it shinny.
I am thinking : Machine compound followed with a polish? I was thinking along the line of D300 with a very soft pad at about 4 on my Rupes, followed by D301 wax. Also I realize that my pads will be red and am wondering about cleaning the pads. I have never worked on a mono layer paint before Mike and need to nail it. This will be on Woodward for the Cruise late August.

If you search single stage paint you will find all the answers to your questions. Mike has some really good write ups on single stage paints.
