Dressing longevity?
Hi I'm currently dressing my tires with Optimum gel, I would like to try Hyper Dressing just because. Can someone please comment on the longevity of the Hyper dressing, thanks Steve.

Re: Dressing longevity?
In my experience hyper dressing lasted a week. Water based so it didn't really hold up too well. The 32oz sample I had got at the time lasted forever though diluting it at 2:1.

Re: Dressing longevity?
I got maybe a week out of it. It just doesn't give me the shine I like, I like a glossy very wet look. Tell you what DR, if you like, pm me your address and I will ship you say 32oz or so for you to test out for yourself, that should give you a chance to play with different mix ratios. That way you don't have to commit to a gallon just yet.
Off the top of my head I don't have anything to ship it in, I looked on Amazon and found some bottles. Give the word I will have the bottles Friday afternoon, and I can send it your way on Saturday. Free of charge of course, you should get it in Va. in about a week from now.

Re: Dressing longevity?
I have been using hyper dressing for a while now. After a rain or a couple of washes the shine was pretty much gone and I wasn't too happy about having to reapply it as often as I did to keep the shine up. As mentioned above, the good thing is that a bottle of it can last a really long time depending on your dilution ratio and other factors. This last go around I used PERL and it has held up quite a bit longer but it's costly to use compared to hyper dressing. I used PERL at the recommended ratio for tires and it was too shiny for me. Before I use it again I will dilute it a bit more.

What dilution do you use it at?

Re: Dressing longevity?
I use it 4:1 for under the hood and wheel wells, I have also tried 2:1 and 1:1 on tires.

Used it at the recommended 1:1. Again, way too much gloss for me. I like a satin finish. As soon as my fiancé saw it, she had me redoing her tires with it. She likes that glossy look.

1:1 doesn't shine?

These dressings are going the way of the pay phone. Surprised everyone hasn't made the switch to tire coatings.
One good use for these tire gels would be for museum pieces as they would last forever, LOL.

I always saved the PERL for interior use. Thought I'd give it a shot on the tires this go around.
And another thought about Hyper Dressing. I stopped using it on plastic trim pretty quick. After the morning due or a rain I would always get streaks running down the paint and that got old real quick. Only use WETS now.
