Re: Anyone using Hose Slides when washing?

Many years ago, when we were painting a car, we'd grab 4 brake shoes from the core barrel and kick 'em under the tires.
Does anyone even remember brake shoes?

Anyone using Hose Slides when washing?

I might get chastised for this but I'll go ahead anyways...

    DIY hose slider

Take a 5 gallon bucket and cut it off near the bottom about 3 inches from the very bottom. I used a jig saw for this. Then cut it into 1/4's. And done.

    Hope that helps

    Nicely done!
And they nest in a small space when stored.

I use them. Haven't run over them yet. I sometimes forget to use them, until I start pulling the hose.

I never forget to use mine but I forget to remove them lol. Luckily with my DIY's they are flimsy enough to drive over them but stands right back up and doesn't break. I've probably ran over them about 4 times so far and they're still fine.

    Durability...lol.

Re: Anyone using Hose Slides when washing?

There's 2 annoying things that are guaranteed to happen everytime I do a bucket wash:
Having to constantly un kink/straighten out Flexzilla.

Having to deal with the hose getting stuck underneath the tires when I move to the other side of the vehicle.

Thanks to this thread I hope to eliminate 1 of them. Thanks!

I have a set I picked up at SEMA .Can't wash a car without them, since the darn hose always gets hung up on the tires. A good item to have.
