I'm using that solution now as a first time extractor buyer. I can say it works but nothing spectacular, I won't buy it again. There definitely has to be something better out there.

Re: Looking for best carpet extractor solution

I run just water thru my extractor. Its much more effective to spray your cleaner of choice on your carpet/upholstery and allow it to dwell for anywhere from 5-10 minutes, then extract.

That being said, Im currently using a cleaner called eco green that has been very effective for me. Mixes 32:1. However you can look into any decent "traffic lane cleaner" and wont be disappointed.
