Here's the thing, uv rays trump winter. You have a black car, park that bad boy outside in Florida even in January and the paint will be hot, May right now in Tampa surface temp would be hundreds of degrees, that cooks lsp's. It's 95 degrees outside right now and that's in the shade. The surface temp of your black paint right now would fry an egg down here in minutes. Now park that outside at work for ten hours a day and let's talk about longevity.

My GC is a garge queen. If I pull it out in todays sun and wait 10-15 minutes to wipe it down with any type of detaling spray other than DoDo Tropical Mist it is already too hot on the paint sruface. You can see heat waves baking off of it after 20 or so minutes. So consider all day and the temps that black paint and darker colors get to down here for 9-10 months of the year.

Well so far there seems to be a majority of jetseal and powerlock users may give them a try although that sonax pns still has my top interest!

Jetseal was reformulated around the end of 2014. It was jetseal 209 the newer one is supposed to last "up to a year" many that tried it and didn't like it had the older version

There are a bunch of great sealants. Why not go with the Griot's poly wax. http://www.autogeek.net/griots-garag...-poly-wax.html

    Sealant suggestions

I'm a big fan of Wolfgang's Fuzion estate wax as my final top coat. Its probably the easiest wax i've ever used and is super easy to remove. One coat lasts me about 4-6 months here in NY. I maintain it between washes with Mothers showtime.

    Cost's $60 for 3oz Sealant suggestions

This thread is like asking "Who's the greatest rock band"?

I think it all depends on your climate, working surface, paint color, and expectation level.

That being said, I always defer to Mike P's statement of: "Find something you like, and use it often."
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

    Re: Sealant suggestions

Meguiar's M21 2.0 Synthetic Sealant is the one I use most often.

Rupes 808, and Duragloss 111 are the other two.

Poly Wax sounds like a rock solid performer. It's next on my list to try. There's a couple good threads floating around here somewhere about the poly wax.

I actually take it off pretty quickly. Often I'll do a panel, then one more, then go back and remove the first. I just keep an eye on it and when it finger swipes clean, I take it off. Am I remembering this correctly- did someone here say they even let this sit overnight sometimes before removal? I think I read that recently. Mighta been Bob.

Actually no. The greatest rock band is Iron Maiden. Now, trying to find the best Sealant that is one heck of a hard thing to do
