Question Gyeon wet coat application questions

May be looking into this in the spring. Any special prep before applying to the paint? It is ok to use a paint cleaner or polish before application? I love the ease of application, but not sure how to prep the paint before. And what is best to maintaint it? Does it play well with wax based drying aids?

    Thanks!

Works great whatever you have on your car no prep needed.I wouldn't spray it directly on paint, you may encounter stubborn Streak marks here and there.I apply it using a bucket and mopping it on one panel at a time.or when the car is dry and clean spritz some on a short nap micro followed by a dry clean one.Depending on the color it gives dramatic deep glossy shine but don't apply on glass that way.Happy New Years.

It is more of a topper the way you use topper. Can it be a stand alone lsp of course but think of any and all info you know about Hydro2 and apply it here. Wash vehicle, mist on, shock with heavy water pressure off, dry with your method.

No reason to top it. It's just an innovative LSP and or booster for a coating.

No special prep is needed other than washing. Makes big vehicles easy. Makes wheels, grills, etc easy.

Just another thing in your arsenal. You would be getting the topper characteristics if you top it with spray way. May as well just use spray wax insteaad and save the $

Has anyone tried applying a product like this during a rinseless? Sort of like using it as a drying aid?

Doesn't it need a blast of water to activate it? Wouldn't that kind of defeat the purpose of a rinseless if you had to drag out the hose and spray down the car anyway?

Not sure. I've heard of the car pro version used in this manner.

I believe someone here or on Autopia dilutes it with distilled water and then applies as a QD type deal.

Yes, I apply mine after wash and car is wet and a hard blast of water first to activate then a good rinse. I apply cure on top for my OCD

That's what I do on a dry car.using it as directed with water you will have streaks galore, and there not easy to remove.

GSKR: surprised that has been your experience. Yes with HyrO2, but never in my experience with Wet Coat.

I have a hose in hand and spray it almost immediately with water after applying to a wet surface. Very little is needed IMO.
