2013 Subaru Impreza- Detailed and Wolfgang Uber Coated

Hey all!
Well it was time again for me to detail my girlfriend's Subaru. It's a 2013 Impreza hatch in Venetian Red Pearl. She lives in Buffalo and it's been a year and a half since it's last detail. The paint had stayed in decent shape since it's last go over but definitely needed a freshening up. This time instead of a sealant I decided to use Wolfgang Uber Coating which I love and have been using religiously over the past coupe months on more than half a dozen cars now.

CG Citrus
Nanoskin Medium towel
ONR for clay lube
Menzerna FG400 spot polishing on some defects with LC Hybrid Orange
CarPro Reflect on the rest of the car with LC Hybrid White
Wolfgang Perfekt Paint Prep
Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Paint Coating
LC coating applicator
CarPro Pearl
Invisible Glass Aerosol

The main areas of concern on this car were mostly scuff marks and a big key mark where some a-hole decided that they had to scratch up her door for whatever reason. First the car was washed and decontaminated and so on. Normal prep procedure. Next I turned my attention to the scratch mark. Here it is...

While it is quite long luckily it wasn't super deep. However under the front door handle and where the panels meet, it was quite deep. Too deep to buff out. However, I went to work with my Flex using a Hyrbid Orange pad and FG400 and attacked the scratch mark. Here are the results after just buffing it.

As you can see the scratch is mostly gone but there is still the deeper mark under the handle and where the panels meet. Then I filled in the deeper parts with touch up paint from automotivetouchup.com Here are the results after filling it in, letting it sit and then going back over it with CarPro Reflect.

The scratch is almost completely gone. If you look closely you can see the touch up paint some but if you didn't know it was there you would never know. I'm happy with the outcome.

As for the rest of the car, it had light swirls from a few drive through car washes at Delta Sonic since it gets too cold to wash the car by hand here in Buffalo, NY. I went over the car with FG400 on some other marks but the rest of the car got a 1-step with CarPro Reflect.

The paint cleaned up very nicely and I'm very happy with the outcome! The rest of the car was cleaned up, wiped down with Wolfgang Perfekt Paint Prep and coated with Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Coating. Here are the after pics!

Thanks for looking! Now I have Wolfgang Uber Coating on my personal Tahoe and her Subaru so I will report back with a new thread on its performance in the spring and see how it held up on both her super soft paint and my hard Chevy black paint.

Thank you! The Wolfgang Uber Coating is by far my favorite of the ones I've used. (Cquartz UK, Blackfire, Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0) Insanely easy to use and looks amazing!

I agree! Yes I did get them adjusted and cleaned out. It looked like there was some debris in there which affected the spray pattern.
