First Experience With DuraGloss ... WOW!
I am now officially a believer in the DG family of products and went ahead and bought 901, 501, 105, 601, 111 and Aquawax (951).
I followed the advice of the AG family and premixed 501/601 and 105/601 at 4:1 to speed the process.
The steps I followed:
Wash with 901 (2 BM)
Nanoskin blue mitt with clay lube
501/601, PC, speed 6, white LC pad
105/601, PC, speed 5, black LC pad
111, PC, speed 3-4, black LC pad
Aquawax with chinchilla grey MF's
The paint on this car was in very good shape but I wanted to make the silver flake pop and add a coat of protection.
The entire process took place in sun to partial shade at approx 82 degrees with low humidity. Not ideal conditions due to the sun but its what I have to work with.
The DG products are an absolute joy to work with. Very, very easy to apply and just as easy to remove. No staining and no dusting whatsoever. 2 things to note - a little product goes a looong way and 105 stains white pads. Do a glass test if you think you need more product on the pad- You will be surprised at how little product is needed.
My apologies that I dont have before pics as the car is only a few weeks old. If you are skeptical about the DG family - GIVE THEM A TRY! You will be a beleiver! And the price point can't be beat.
Thanks!
Nick
The water beading is incredible!

Looks great.
I used DG 601/501 for the first time last week and was totally impressed.

Welcome to the club. Best bang for your buck products in the business (3D/HD too).
In my day we didn't have the Internet, iPods,iPads, or smart phones....but we had some really bad-azz cars.

Nice job, looks very good. Now get some 932 and mix it as a QD. 932 is verrrrry slick and will also blow your socks off (again).

What do you suggest David as the mix ratio.
I've been using FC&S or 521 from DG as my QD
thanks

I vary between 2-3oz. to a 16oz bottle, just depends on my mood but both do very well. Fast clean and shine works well but 932 QD is like that on steroids.

Really? 2.5 oz of 932 in a 16oz bottle and the results are as good or better than FC&S?
No streaking?
OK for windows? (I have a clean window fetish!)
Thanks David!

He is referring to mixing some aquawax with FC&S. It is a great combo, it adds a little protection and more gloss as well as sickness.
Detailing is a way of life, not a hobby!

No mixing on my part, just 932 and water. I have not had any streaking issues on light colors like yours but the daughters twilight metallic blue had streaking issues on the hood and I had to resort to FC&S or straight Aqua Wax on that panel. I never had any luck with sealants on windows as it always resulted in a smeary mess. Collinite or DG Rain Repel works great on windows with no smearing. Rain Repel with a glass MF is very slick. I have not tried the FC&S mixed with Aqua Wax as 932 QD does such a good job.
