2008 Range Rover HSE in for 2 Step Correction plus Pinnacle Souveran.
Lets be honest here. Not all details is about a flawless finish. Not all customers are willing to spend huge amounts on their daily drivers. We understand that.
This client found me on Rennlist, biggest Porsche Forums and contacted me about doing his used but new Rangr Rover. He explained to me the problem with the paint and he knew what he wanted and I wanted to be sure that I have him what he deserved.
The procedure was simple, attack with his budget for 2 step correction.
Washing and decon.....
Products Used
Dawn ( To strip wax )
IronX and Nanoskin Towel
Madness wash mitts
Woolies
Daytona brushes
Sonax Wheel Cleaner a full strength
Correction
Flex3401VGR (The warrior)
CarPro Flashpad (HD Adapt)
Refine with LC white pad (Reflect)
IPA
Finish it off with Pinnacle Souveran
After all the washing was done, I then pulled the car inside. New client happens to own big warehouses, so I had an entire warehouse, to work on 7K square feet. Made my shop look super tiny. Lol
You know, at far away it does look glossy, let gets a little closer.
After performing my test spot
CarPro FlashPad paired with HD Adapt.
Yeah, that's how bad the paint was.
Moving on, now stay with me.
Usually I bring an extra Light Pod but I forgot mine on the shop, as the one I had the bulbs went bye bye, so I had to improvise. I used my car to help me with the procedure.
After
50/50 followed by Reflect
Turn the lights on and let the horror begin....
Before
50/50 after FlashPad plus HDAdapt only
One door down, 3/4 more to go.
Before
After (cutting step only) still needs to be followed by Polishing.
After polishing (this side is done)
Before
Far away
Complete
Roof before
After
After the correction was done I then wiped away with Eraser and then it was time for Pinnacle Souveran
All machine applied of course with LC Blue Pad.
A closer look achieved on the correction.
Before/After. (notice the flakes)
Beautiful night out, notice the stars ?!? Lol
Beauty Shots inside
Even on a terrible day, the car looked like it should.
Glossy!
Tire dressing was done with Pinnacle Onyx
Thanks for looking.

Outstanding work Francisco! That black paint oozes with gloss now after Souveran.
Even though us detailers would love to perform show car work all the time (paid accordingly) the masses that keep us employed just don't need or want that level of work.
Keep up the top notch work.

Thanks Mike. I do agree with you, we always want a perfect paint but I learned quickly that sometimes, like this at for example, extraordinary results can still be achieved. The owner couldn't believe. 9.5 hours total lland all thanks to the Flex3401. This is a one machine that I will never sell.

Great work and turnaround as usual. How much time in just paint correction on this beast.

Nice work on that Rover, *I* like the shop you were in to do the work

Re: 2008 Range Rover HSE in for 1 Step Correction plus Pinnacle Souveran.
Nice work
But, that is NOT a "one-step". I believe Mike Phillips would call your process a 3-step
CarPro Flashpad (HD Adapt)
Refine with LC white pad (Reflect)
IPA
Finish it off with Pinnacle Souveran
A "one-step" would have been an AIO, like D151. Nothing before and nothing after, just D151
I favor the terminology of calling what you did a 2-step paint correction.
If we don't count claying as a step...why does application of the LSP count as a step?
In reality, as long as the Customer understands what you are going to do and the results it will produce...terminology does not matter

Superior work on that Range Rover, really brought that boss appeal back into that dark paintwork

I would agree with you but that is a one step polishing or one step correction. In my terms I don't count the wax as part of the correction progress, that's why I added the term plus Pinnacle. We all have different terms on how we call it. Note, I could have easily have called 2 steps polishing but I decided to call it, 1 step correction since HD Adapt is more in the terms of a strong polish but it corrects like a compound.
Now keep in mind, i am from Brazil and sometimes English isn't my first language. Nonetheless. I hope you like the correction.

I am not sure whether you have to have facebook in order to see the videos.
I am waiting for my new iphone6 plus to come in. Haven't be able to post anything to YouTube lately. Don't know why.
