Before and After - 1965 VW Bug

    Hi All,

This is my Bug that I got a few years ago.
It had been reprinted with the red color and is a base/clear coat respray.

The Bug sat in the sun for a few years before I got it.

I washed it and then clayed it.
    Then I used a Flex random orbital polisher with;
    Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover.
    Pinnacle Finishing Polish.
    Pinnacle Wax

I used stoner window cleaner and 0000 steel wool to clean the glass.

I used steel wool and chrome polish to clean the rust off the wheels, not shown, and then chrome polish with a rag.

Here are some before and after pictures, I was surprised how much better the bug looked when I was done.

Yea, some are with flash and some are not, but you can still see the difference.
The fender shown was actually rough to the touch before being polished.

    I call BS!

Clearly that's two different cars. One is orange and the other bug is red. Nice try though

    Thanks for the nice comments.

My photoshop skills were off the day I doctored those, haha.

My wife said it looks brand new to her when she first saw it and I didn't expect to see results like I ended up with either.

Here's a link to more before and after pictures, and you can see it is the same Bug .
