From Down Under - Holden Commodore SV6

    Hi everyone,

I thought I'd share something you woudn't typically see on your shores; a MY13 Holden Commodore VE SV6 Z Series. Or perhaps you do? I've been advised they are rebadged as Chevrolet Omega in the US.
It came in for a light paint correction, Modesta P-01A and BC-05 coating applied to the paintwork.

Being a late model and rather well looked after, there were minor swirls which were easily taken care with by Rupes Bigfoot LHR21 and HD Polish Orange CCS / Sonax Orange / ArtDeShine Microfibre. Pad was dependent on panel as some were worse off than others, and frankly whichever pad was closest to me at the time.

It was refined with white CCS / black Sonax with P-01A primer which cleaned up any hazing. Great neutral type of paint to work with so it was a joy to detail.

Snow foam pre-washed, washed and decon’d with TAC Systems Iron Zero foam and Soft99 Clay bar

First test spot – ok..a bit hazy but cleaned up in the end

    Before

    After

    Before – left rear guard

    After

    Before

    After

Protection weapon of choice by the customer

    Completed

Outside on a Melbourne winter overcast day

And just as I've written this, the customer came, collected the car and driven off in the breaking sun…trusty good old Melbourne weather...now I have no sun shots.

Thanks for looking through this one guys. Any questions or comments are more than welcome

    Anthony

Love how wett the paint looks, you did a FANTASTIC JOB!

Thanks again sprocketser! No, not this one...only exterior paint. I do have a Mazda 3 MPS which is getting the jambs and arch liners coated though

Thanks Klasse Act. They do still come in 6MT here in Oz, even on there range topping V8 performance model. Sounds ridiculous...too bad they can't keep it from sliding everywhere...actually, that may not be a bad thing?
