1962 Starfire, what a cool car. I love the side trim on those and if I remember correct they have a really cool steering wheel. A 62 and 65 Starfire are on my bucket list of cars to own.

I haven't seen a Starfire in 40 years, & with the Firestone redline tires. I had a set of those, bald by 20K miles, but looked unusually cool.

Awesome! These are my favorite detailing projects. Taking a barn find and restoring the original single stage paint.

If #7 won't bring it back to life nothing will, well except for maybe #3....


I buffed out a 1960 Oldsmobile Starfire Convertible for Mark Privratsky (customer car builder), about 20 years ago. Very rare and cool car.

I will be back in there this evening. I plan to lay down another coat of the #7 and then start on the interior while it sits another 24 hours.
I hope to be polishing at least by Friday into Saturday.
