2013 Camaro with full treatment and lots of pics!

This owner had approached me back in the dead of winter and it was a good thing he did so he didn't have to wait a long time to get it done. I had booked this '13 Camaro for a 2 stage polish and CQF. He advised there were a fair number of chips and I knew this was going to be a longer job.

    Then he showed up.

    With these beautiful wheels.

The first words out of my mouth (didn't mean to make a bad impression) were "Gorgeous f'ng wheels man!" He thought so too, so I guess it was a good way to break the ice, LOL. Anyway, we ended up agreeing to do a wheels-off, coat calipers, coat wheel wells deluxe job. Now it was going to be a really long job, hehehe.

    Let's check it out:

Agree with me on the wheels??

There were a lot of chips. I only photographed a few:

First up was the wheels/tires/barrels and wells. I wanted to make my job easier when I had the wheels off, so I really tried getting the areas as clean as possible.
Barrels/Faces: Tarminator followed by Zep Citrus then DG 901
    Tires: Zep 505
    Wells: LATA

Next was the wash stage which was done with my Incredimitt (See->I got the name right this time!! LOL) and DG 901.
Next was a decontamination wash with the Incredisponge + IronX paste.
After that, the car was brought inside and blown off with the Master Blaster, concentrating on the wheel areas and drip spots.
The car was then clayed with a Speedy Prep towel.

Now came the fun part: doing the wheels. Each barrel was wiped down with ONR and then the barrel and the face was chemically cleaned with DG Squeaky Clean and then CQuartz Finest was applied. The calipers were also cleaned with the SC and coated. The plastic wells were coated with the DG beta trim coating. Here's a wheel in progress:

The paint was treated to a 2 stage compound/polish using M105 + TB black wool + Flex 3401 (I just love the clarity this gives paint!!). That was followed by M205 + white B/S + 3401. As a surface prep and to also check the quality of the work, DG Squeaky Clean was used by hand via yellow foam applicator pad. Touch ups were done on a panel by panel basis.

Here's what my LED light had to show:

    Here's what my CFL's showed:

Here is the front clip after being compounded and polished:

Once fully polished, the glass was treated to Fly-by-30. The paint was treated to CQuartz Finest and was then cured via IR light. While waiting for the light to do its work, I shot the tires with DG Wet Shine via air gun and also vacuumed the interior. The chrome exhaust tips were hand polished with Opt Hyper Polish and 0000 steel wool on the inside and a mf on the outside. They, too, were coated along with the head and tail lights.

Now for some outside shots. The first ones were under heavy cloud cover and then it cleared right up so I shot a few more:

Here's how the wheels came up:

Oh, and how long for all that? 19 hours.

Thanks for looking. Comments always appreciated!

Sweet! Love that color. He should've gotten an SS though.

Hey Richy. Great work as always man. I had a couple questions for you. The zep citrus, what dilution do you use for cleaning up after tarminator? I use tarminator quite regularly myself but always follow up with OPC 3:1. Also, the TB black wool pads. Are those the same or comparable to the HD black wool? Thanks in advance.
