1993 Mazda Miata supercharged (fun with single stage paint)

The weather here in Houston hasn't been too horrible lately so I spent the weekend giving my newly acquired 1993 Miata some much needed TLC.

The car has 49k original miles and is mechanically flawless, but judging from the swirls, scratches, and oxidation, the paint wasn't taken care of very well. After experimenting with a few glaze and pad combos, I spent a day with my polisher to bring back the gloss and eliminate a majority of the surface defects. I didn't drive myself crazy trying to remove every single swirl and scratch since paint preservation was my top priority. After all that I cleaned up the interior and engine compartment (along with a few tucks and deletes) to tidy things up.



































Well that's how last weekend went for me. I'm pretty happy with this pickup. It runs awesome, handles great, and looks (and smells) like a brand new car. I just wish I had more space in my garage to park all 3 of my cars haha.

1991 owner here! Although mine is a repaint, how did you correct the mirrors and finish panel? My mirrors stay faded and aren't coming back and the finish panels are really think and crack easily.
