Great work! You've got quite the broad skill set.
I have a question on your PTG, which I gather is a 2-layer-only reading. So does layer 1 show the thickness of the layer closest to the surface (the clear) and "layer 2" is the thickness of all layers below that (which is probably at least base and primer). And the way you use the device is you are only interested in the layer 1 reading, and layer 2 doesn't really matter for polishing purposes? Is that correct?

I hate to be that guy. But in this case I would rather keep that under my hat. I am happy to share any other aspect of the project that anyone may ask about.

Right and I agree. It's a shame it's got to this point that brand new $80k cars(this one at least) look like this. Same could be said of many new Ferrari's as well.
Thanks for the kind words though.

That's pretty much it. It can read 3 layers but on automotive paints it's very spotty when trying to read 3 layers. 2 layers works well.

The only editing that was done to the photographs was the addition of the watermark and the resizing.
I'm happy with the camera but I really want a 5D MkIII or MkII.

Nice start up camera. Standard 18-55 lens? I shoot with a Nikon D3200.
Man, that camera is a hoss!

No. Some was shot with 30mm f/1.4 and some with 10-22mm . The extreme close ups were shot with something longer than the kit lens but I don't recall the exact lens.
