    2002 35th Camaro SS corrected

This 2002 Camaro looked like it had been driven through a sand covered thorn patch...paint was swirled up. Deepest nastiest swirls of my detailing career. These before photos do not do the damage justice.

After an inspection and the before photos, wax was stripped off. When the wax came off the swirls got deeper....

A medium clay was used. A decent amount of contamination for a weekend garage kept car.

After messing around with some microfiber pads and getting frustrated, I defaulted back to foam pads.

Ended up with an orange hex pad and V32, and finishing with a white hex pad and V36.

    Nice work and pictures!

What type of camera and lens did you use? I also like how
    you framed up the shots.

I always keep 4 lenses at the shop for detailing photos. I shoot a Nikon D800E, and my glass is all Nikkor glass. 24-70, 105 macro, 70-200, and a 17-35. All were used in this write up.

Thanks for the words, photography is where my real skill is, these are just quick pot shots while I work.

Nice detailing write up. The Camaro's paint looked like it hadn't been polished in quite a few years. How many compounding and polishing stages did you performing during the paint correction?

That was a 17-35 wide open (f/2.8) at probably about 20-22mm. Full frame camera

One really heavy compound stage, followed by two polishing stages. The second being very light and slow.
