Toto's BMW's and Tried Menzerna Compound

Started the June lineup of Bimmers (and one Acura trade-in). Also, I ordered some Menzerna compound and Glaze. Very impressive stuff. Right now, I'm in-process using it on a BMW 330Ci which is Silver. It's tough to guage how well it's doing for a couple of reasons: First, the car is in excellent shape and, Second is, it's silver. I have a Black 745i to do and that will be a great test. It's at the BMW dealer now for some warranty work, so it will be next weekend before I tackle that.

Here's the Acura: Trade in and it was in poor shape, paint-wise. Lots of scratches from brush washes. Compound with wool + glaze with polish pad + 3M Ultrafina SE for the final.

After cleanup, the interior came out very nice

Next up: a 330Ci Coupe with sport package in Silver. This is the car I'm using the Menzerna on.

Indoor reflection after compound and glaze

Pretty good reflection shot for a silver car. The product finishes down nicely.

Outside shot showing silver just being silver

Gonna do some more work tomorrow.

    See Ya Folks!

Very nice toto! Love your work and write ups. I can say the Menz Compound is one I will need to add to my collection. Great depth for such a light color!

Just those 2 products so far. When I complete the car, it will get a coat of something. Usually, the shop standard is Meg's #26, but I might sneak a coat of Wolfgang DGS on this car.

I'm only doing the hood/roof/trunk and 1/2 height on the body because the dealer is getting a rocker panel re-painted. There is a nasty scrape on the bottom of the panel and he doesn't like to sell a car with that scrape (it's a tribute to him IMO). So, it doesn't make sense to finish that portion of the car until the painting is done.

Here's a few more pics of the Menzerna product use. So far, I've just compounded and used the glaze. I really like the glaze product! It's not like the 3M stuff that you work down until it's almost gone. Menzerna works and works...and keeps working. It leaves a haze that you wipe off with an mf towel and some QD. I could almost stop at these 2 products, but will put a coat of #26 on the car for protection.

    Enjoy the pics folks!

I have a Black 745 in the line-up and THAT will be a good test for the Menzerna line.
