Thanks. Are you saying he requires an extreme makeover too? Sorry, I only work on cars.

Re: Resurrection! Breathing New Life Into Dead Paint
Update: So I was driving to work this morning and I saw an old Guards Red Porsche a few lanes over from me. Sure enough, it was the same one I restored! I was laid off around the same time as this project took place, and therefore had lost contact with my co-worker. Over the years, I had been curious to know if he has been taking care of the paint, or if he let it revert back to the state in "before" pics.
I am happy to report that he has indeed been keeping it up. Granted, it is not as shiny as it was in the "after" pics, but he's been keeping the dying paint alive a little while longer - and it still looks a lot better than when I initially worked on it. I couldn't get his attention to say hi or anything. But it did bring a smile to my face on this Monday morning.
Happy detailing to you all.

Excellent work! A great 356 that is driven! Love his license plate! LOL
Again, excellent work, awesome save and both of you should be proud of the 'driver' you just produced that can be shown with pride now!

Thanks. He loves that car and does drive it daily. He felt bad about how it looked before we got our hands on it. Afterwards he had a big smile. I'm happy he's doing his best to keep it looking good still. A full restoration will be needed at some point, but at least it can wait a little while longer.
I asked him about the license plate. The story is that his daughter, when she was small, would ride her tricycle down a hill and would scream & laugh "Weeee.... ha!" Thus the play on words w/ the French to get the sound.
