Detailed my GTO and BMW
Hello everyone,
I recently had my GTO painted to replace my vinyl stripes that were coming to the end of their life. I had the vinyls removed and painted the stripes, painted the roof black, and added a strip on the side with a red out line for an accent color.
I finally had time to detail it. Here are the steps I used, I used McGuire's for most of it.
1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Fine cut compound
4. Glaze
5. Polish
6. Wax
7. Sealant
I did the same thing for my wife's BMW.
I'm really happy with how good it turned out. My wheels need a little attention but right now I'm way to tired to get to them.

Not knocking your work because the car looks great but you probably didn't need a glaze on newer, maintained paint. Also, did you get the original wheels from the prvious owner (GTO, ofcoarse)

Yes I still have the original wheels in my attic.
I wasn't sure if I needed a glaze or not since I used a compound to clean up some of the overspray I found on it.

Did the previous owner put those wheels on the car when you got it?
