    Quick clean up

Well I bought this truck last week from a guy who's step father used it in his lawn/tree service business. The paint is so scratched up there is no way to get close to 80% scratch free (just not possible). So my mission today was to reduce as many of the scratches as I could and remove the oxidation from the paint giving my paint that dull boring green look. I started @7am and finished @1:45pm. Being my new (to me) work truck and the condition of the paint I didn't go full tilt and skipped some steps to save my back and time.
    Products used:
Optimum No rinse soap Menzerna Super Intensive Polish Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant
    Tools:
Flex 3401 polisher Lake Country Orange pad Polishing Pal w/red foam pad (for apply wax/sealant by hand)
    Before Shots:
    Scratches
    Oxidation from months/years of neglect

    Poor reflection

    A dull boring green ranger

Now after a few hours of some elbow grease, quality products and a now sun burned neck I am much prouder to drive my truck.
Here is a 50/50 shot showing how oxidized the paint was in:

Left pass. door polished and pass. fender how it used to be

I found this interesting, the next two pictures were taking no more then 4 minutes apart. Yet the before shows the sun the size of a quarter and the after (4 mins after) shows the sun the size of a penny.
That's how scratched up the clear coat was, it would cause the light to "bounce" around more causing the sun to look larger. With 70+% of the scratches removed in that one spot the sun is much more defined and "to size" sort of speak.
    Full sun shot afters:

    Flakes popping

I'm very happy with the end results. I'll be attacking the interior Sunday morning or Monday morning, it is pretty filthy.

Looks great! Work truck or not you can be proud of all your hard work. One question, it looks like you live in a apartment/condo/townhome developement, if so how did you get electricity out to your truck?

A very long extension cord running from the front of the building to that parking spot.
