New pics of the 1971 Fury NYPD patrol car!

We just installed all the decals and got the new front bumper on so I thought I'd snap some pics. I also wanted to extend another HUGE thanks to Mike Phillips, Max, and everyone else who contributed to making this car look as good as it does. My dad and I are really happy with the way it's turned out!

For those who don't know, the paint on this car was an absolute disaster after it got repainted. Mike was nice enough to let us bring it in for a Thursday night makeover. We thought we were looking at ANOTHER possible repaint, that's how bad it was. But, it's looking great now. Looks amazing! A real interesting car for sure. My only question is, can you drive a car on the street that says "police" if your not in law enforcement? It looks so much like a real cop car, everyone will be dodging you if you drive it on the streets. Some older people may not make the correlation that its an antique show car.

The addition of the stickers really makes a difference. Actually brings the car to life. I enjoyed working on this project. Thanks for sharing, much appreciated.

It's not legal to drive it if it says "police" or has any red/blue lights. My dad is getting magnets made to cover the "police" lettering and he has a vinyl cover for the light and siren

Was that the way all the Police cars were painted in NY at that time?

Yup, the color scheme lasted from the 1930s through 1972. After that, they switched to light blue.
