2005 Black Mercedes - Sale Prep (paintwork correction and interior detail).

This black Benz was booked for a full detail last week and was a nice car to work on.

    Upon Arrival

    Washing
Used a strong mix of APC on a Tornador Foam Gun and a few drops of shampoo to get a thicker foam and hold the APC on the wheels and tires a bit more.

2005 Black Mercedes - Sale Prep (paintwork correction and interior detail).

Washed the car using a twisted 2BM. I'm using a bucket with clean water to wash away any dirt from the washing pad and apllying soap to the car using my Tornador Foam Gun.

Checking the image below, it is possible to see how neglected this car was. Seems shiny but a thin film of water was not beading after washing the soap away. No wax, no nothing for many years on this poor Merc.

Paint was decontaminated using a blue speedy prep Towel.
(Mike, thanks for showing me this tool at the MTE in Orlando)

Carpets were thoroughly vacuemed and extracted. Left to dry on the shade

    Interior cleaned as well

2005 Black Mercedes - Sale Prep (paintwork correction and interior detail).

Leather cleaned using a soft brush and light APC dilution.

    Paintwork
Tried Megs Ultimate Compound on Megs. yellow pad using my PC.

Panel was wiped down to remove any oils so I could examine the real finish. Was good enough. Around 80% of the defects were removed.

Driver and passenger door had to be wed sanded using Trizact 3k and 5k. Had been resprayed before. Had to use my rotary to compound this before using the chosen combo (PC + UC + Yellow pad)

    Collinite 476 for some protection

    Tires dressed

    Job done

    Tks

Wow that's pretty impressive! I had no idea UC and a PC could deliver like that. Great job!

Awesome turn around. What was your method to get around the door handle with the 105?

Speed 6 and lots of care
Very had on the upper part because only part of the pad was in touch with the panel. Having this issue in mind, I decided to use a 3 inch pad and do all the narrow sections before.

Gotcha. Didn't know if you swapped pads or were just that good!
