    93 Toyota Pickup

I started working on my work truck today, it's a 93 Toyota pickup that I purchased last year with 60k original miles. However it was sitting in a barn for 3 yrs after the previous owner passed away.

It's been repainted, rather poorly too. The paint is in horrendous condition, it's heavily oxidized and feels like chalk.

I only had time to do the hood today and wanted to share a before/after picture.

Sorry about the picture quality, my phone is my only camera.

    Here is the entire truck

I used m105/m205 on an orange pad with my GG6

Forgot to mention that the paint came out smooth and glossy. I'm also pretty sure it's a single stage paint they used when it was redone.

Are you sure it was reprinted? All the old Toyota's with white paint had the single stage paint.I'm glad you were able to bring it back.I just did a 2008 Toyota Tundra fleet truck that had the same crappy single stage white paint. What a pain in the but.

I'm 100% certain. There is over spray on the rubber seals around the doors and the bed rail paint is flaking off. I don't have high expectations for it, but I'm happy with how it came out, for what it is.

I have a black 07 tundra that swirls if you look at it funny :what:

Nice barn find! That thing's just getting "broken in". Good luck with the paint, in my area every Toyota truck from that generation is swiss cheese.

    Nice little truck.
I had a '94 with a 3slow up until a few months ago. Still miss it. You should get good service out of that four cylinder.

Not just swiss cheese, but if I can find one, it's going to have 300,000+ miles on it.

I had an 89 4x4, 94 4Runner SR5, 88 stripped down 4Runner, and a 99 Tacoma. Been without a Toyota 6 years stuck with a POS Ford stupidly buying affordable new instead of used for the same cost, until my wife rolled it over 3 weeks ago. Picked up a Rav4 296HP V6 for her last week. She's LOVING that! Every night she comes home from work and says, "I can't believe I have that thing to drive every day." LOL

There's a couple rust spots in the bed but nothing major. Really enjoying the gas savings over my tundra.

I also just had the timing chain, timing cover, water pump, and oil pump changed.
