    Detail: 69 Mustang GT350

Had this client referred to me from another client who's viper I recently did a quick wash/wax and who is also scheduled for a full correction and opti-coat in the next few weeks. Anyway, the car is going to an auction today so he needed a last minute clean up or a "wipe down" as he stated. Upon arrival and looking the car over I noticed a few things... Single stage paint that was starting to show its age in some areas, and a car that needed a clay treatment very badly. So, then I learn this car was owned by Bob Seger...very cool! Added a T56 and vintage air! A true driver of a car! Anyway, onto the process/pics.

    Wash/Decon:
    • ONR Wash with pre soak of every panel
    • Medium Speedy Prep Towel (imagine the sound of sandpaper being rubbed against paint...this baby needed it)
    • Wheels were cleaned with ONR as they were in great shape
    • Tires cleaned with APC 5:1 - no dressing per client
    Wax:
    • Meguiars Xpress Wax

    Interior:
    • Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer
    • Stoners Invisible Glass
    • Interior dry brushed and vacuumed

    Questions/Comments welcome!

    Thanks for checking it out

    Beautiful car and great work.

There is something so right about seeing Texas plates on a Shelby.

Didnt see much in the way of paint correction products but that paint looks NOTHING like you described it to be (bad condition) man your wash and wax works MIRACLES.

Beautiful car! I expected the paint to be trashed based on the description. This thread is going to get a ton of views - everyone loves a Shelby! If you hear what price the car auctioned for please fill us in.

You're right. No correction on this lady. The rear driver quarter and front clip had some cracking of the paint. If you look at the picture of the car up close on the passenger front clip near the stripes you can BARELY see a spot where he asked me to touch it up. Not my choice but he just wanted it hidden and that it was.

I'm waiting to hear back! I will keep you posted.

As I mentioned the car came from Bob Seger and was featured in the Henry Ford Museum at one point. He was hoping those points along with how nice the car really is will bring in the right buyer and dollar signs.
