    2009 BMW E90 M3 - SeaJay's Detailing

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of working on this 2009 BMW E90 M3. Beautiful car and color.
The customer had purchased the vehicle from Texas and there were a few concerns he wanted taken care of. His main concern was some rock chips and the exterior. We agreed upon a 1 step polish and rock chip repair.

    Products used:
    Duragloss 901
    D300 via Megs MF system
    Dr. Colorchip system
    Meg’s Window Cleaner
    Blackfire Total Eclipse Tire Gel
Optimum Spray Wax – used for wheels
    Blackfire Wet Diamond
    OPC – 3:1
    303 Aerospace
    ONR – Clay lube
    Optimum Metal Polish
    UTTG – Trim
    Tarminator
    Iron-x
    Megs Degreaser – 10:1
    Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay
    Eraser

    Equipment Used:

    3 – 5 Gallon Buckets
    Chenille Wash mitt
    Various Brushes
    Various MFs
    Ridge Wet/Dry Vac
    PC 7424xp
Megs MF Cutting Disk – 2
    Pad conditioning brush
    Foam Applicator
    LC flat blue waxing pad
    Cobra Tire Dressing applicator

    Ok onto the pictures

    Vehicle when I arrived

During my inspection of the vehicle I had noticed several holograms throughout the vehicle.

Tires and wheels were washed first. Wheels were rinsed then sprayed with Iron-x and left to dwell a few minutes before agitating with various wheels brushes. Tires and wheels wells were then sprayed with degreaser and agitated. Then all was rinsed well.

Car was washed via two bucket method using a chenille wash mitt and Duragloss 901.

Once the car was washed it was clayed with Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay and any tar was removed with tarminator.

After trying out a few different combos for the 1 step (optimum polyseal & Orange LC pad, Menzerna power finish &orange lc pad, D300 & white LC pad), I finally decided upon D300 on the Megs cutting disk. I didn't expect this to finish out as well as it did on the BMW paint.

I was having trouble capturing the swirls on the car and the sun kept playing hide and go seek. So, apologize for not having any 50/50's.

Did get this to come out good though.

After the car was polished , I used eraser to remove any left over oils from the paint before applying BFWD via PC and Blue LC pad.

    Trim was dressed with UTTG

Tires got a coat of BF Total Eclipse Tire Gel, and wheels were spray waxed with Optimum.

    And the afters

    Thanks for reading!

    Hey Jason,

When I looked at the before photos I thought to myself hmmm, just another BMW daily driver that needs quite a bit of care to bring it back. I like your choice in products and the after photos are just awe-inspiring.

Tremendous work Jason and thank you for sharing...

I absolutely love the M3. If I could afford a BMW it would be the M3... or the M5... or at least a 1 M. M3 is my favorite of those though. Well done.

Looks great! I did a jet black 08 BMW a month ago using the D300/MF pad. It worked great, but took me roughly 12 passes with heavy pressure to get results. What did you have to do? Being that this car was black, it was hazy after that step. I stepped down to a white LC pad and Menzera Power Finish and it made a nice difference.

Don't see many red M3s. Great job bringing this one back to life.
