While detailing today I had an Idea

I was detailing the vette this morning and had an idea. I stood behind the vette and noticed that it just looked to plain.

I was thing how can I make it standout better. Here is what I came up with. Went to Lowes and bought some Flat black paint. As you can see in the picture above the lower part has an outlined area. So I was thinking that flat black would help to make the chrome tip pipes and the shiny red paint pop out.

What do you think, did it make the back end POP?

It really does give a nice contrast but I'm hoping that is Photoshop job and you didn't really paint a vette with spray paint from Lowe's. I think I will leave my vette like it is but I can Photoshop it any color you like.

That makes more sense. You obviously know what you are doing. I just don't have the nerve to try something that radical. But, it does create a neat appearance.

Plastic sheet with sticky on back side. Like what is used for making panels on side of trucks and vans for business.

    Hope that helps.

in your situation it didnt turn out so bad but, usually when a man looks at a car and thinks "too plain" bad things happen....

also, it doesnt look bad but it almost looks black plasticky, consider that the entry cadillac deville had black plastic around the bottom, the upscale dts had it painted. same with the seville and sts, same with avalanche and ext.

matching paint to me usually gives a higher end look but thats just me.
