    tore up Ford Contour

this car was in horrible shape. i knew not everything was not gonna be removed and so did the customer. they did not want to pay for the wet sanding that was needed. the products i used i have just recieved in my last order so i figured this would be a good time to "play" with the new toys and really put them to the test.

    products used
    ONR 2 bucket method
    chenille wash mit
    multiply MF towels
    PC7424(1st gen)
    5 inch BP
    5.5 inch LC orange pad
    Optimum Spray Hyper Compond
    Optimum Opti-Bond Tire Dressing
    Optimum Spray Wax
    Optimum Power Clean

    before

next 2 pictures are scratches that did not come out and will need atleast wet sanding

    after ONR

yes that is after it was washed

    under the lights
the hood was the worse of all

    test spot
    hyper polish/untouched/hyper compound

since the Hyper Compund Spray took out more of the issues and finished done really nice i decided to do just a 1 step with the compound.
    finished under lights

    finished outside

this car really got the best of me. i knew alot was not gonna come out before i started but after polishing and seen them still there it just felt useless. and yes i know wheel wells are not done.
camera was not playing nice so not alot of pictures. it kept turning its self off even after new batteries. which is why the date stamp should be ignored. time for a new camera

Paint looks 100 times better. I know you pointed out that the wheel wells are not done and im not trying to bash you but in my opinion the extra 10 minutes spent cleaning and dressing the wheels wells makes all of the difference, also, i didnt see if you used a clay bar or not? did you? ..all aside, great turn around

no claying was done. i would have sprayed the wheel wells but forgot an extra spray bottle for the opti bond. i used applicator to apply to tires.

    Re: tore up Ford Contour

I have corrected several vehicles with Optimum Hyper Polish (OHP) and Compound (OHC) and they do finish out nicely. For the most part,LSP ready.

As mentioned above, the wheel wells stick out pretty bad.Maybe next time if you don't have a applicator or spray bottle for your OptiBond, just take a old MF and apply the OB that way.

    Nice turn around.
Thank You for taking the time and posting the pic's.
