Wolfgang TSR Kit on my 2004 Nighthawk Black Pearl RSX, review/showoff

This was the first time I used my new Porter Cable. I got the Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover kit. Overall I'm very pleased. The Sealant was the easiest part and given the results I think I prefer it over wax even though the depth isnt quite as deep its still really impressive, plus polymers make it last a couple months.
I doctored a few in PS since I was bored, Camera is a Nikon D40 using Auto settings on the kit lense. P-Bucket always messes up the shots and makes then grainy...anyway on the shots...

    ^Thats a reflection shot!^

    Process:
    Hand wash
    clay
    dry,
    tsr,
    glaze,
sealant, removed with mf towel mounted on buffer pad using the pc
instant detail spritz, removed with MF towel by hand.

No tire shine I know.. I didnt have the one I wanted, I dont like the glossy wet look so rather then put it on, I'm waiting for the Wolfgang which has a nice satin finish.

Anyway the only complaint I have is the car attracts an incredible amount of dust. I followed all the steps properly and let it cure longer then recommended in ideal conditions but it looks like my car went through a field of flowers in a matter of hours. I used the instant detail spritz afterward and it cleaned up very nicely but still almost seemed staticly CHARGED. I purchased this kit not only for the tsr but for the claims of it giving debris no foothold on the paint.

The surface is super slick and I'm just wondering why this would happen. I have yet to hand wash it after this process which was recommended to me but I have driven it through a light rain for about 5 mins which left some water spots due to pollen stuck to the car. A tad disappointed and wondering what could be wrong there.

Anyway, C&C is welcome and thanks for looking.

    Thanks

I've been wondering what NHBP would look like with the sealant. I havea 02 Civic SI same color haven't had time to pull the trigger on the big detail again, looks like I've got to make time between flying to Dallas and Korea for work, and remodeling the kitchen...

The car looks great! I wish I could advise you on the dust issue. I've noticed it too on my car, but it seems to happen no matter what I use. I recently bought TSR and I'm looking forward to giving it a go.

    Good review!

Very clean looking DC5, nice job! I have the same paint NBP on my 2007 Honda SI. I found the The blue flake will really pop after topped with any respectable wax.

Throw some FK425 or Clearkote Quickshine on that car. They seem to be the best QD's for reducing dust adhesion

Looks awesome! I have a 06 Vivid Blue Pearl and I have the same problem with dust. found nothing to help with that yet...

Was the PC easy to work with? I have been wanting to try a machine to help with detailing my cars, but have been afraid to use one...

Don't be afraid. I just bought a flex/Menz kit and like you i was somewhat afraid. But after reading this forum I finally decided to buy it and give it a go. The results were amazing and the swirls vanished. While not impossible, it really is pretty hard to screw up your paint with an orbital. It took me 1 panel to really get comfortable with the machine and I was off to the races.

No matter which machine you buy, Menz. products rock from my limited use. I couldn't be happier with the purchase and the results.
