High spots happen. The good thing is they are easily fixed. I would have told you to do one layer and be done.
Thanks. Always appreciated. After the conversation above I saw one of your videos and you mentioned polishing the whole (fender, hood, etc.) so there isn't a color difference in the new coating. This was in one maybe 1 year or so ago. Still viable with Mohs?

Since you noticed the high spot after you used cure, are you sure it wasnt a dark streak from using cure? I only ask because for me 9 times out of ten on black paint no matter how little amount i use i will see streaking most noticeably on the hood.

I'll double check today, but it was pretty obvious yesterday. I check in a few hours when it becomes light outside.
Thanks

Definitely a high spot. I tried wiping when I got home. It happens. Like everyone mentioned. It's fixable. I will have to get a another 30 mil bottle. I can use the rest to test out a few things on our Accord with the rest.

Re: Our First New Car - My Journey
I've been looking around about polishing off high spots, but most videos are how to "fix" small spots. The one on my hood is a little large. How aggressive do I need to be to remove the coating to re-coat?
Light cutting pad with the same 3D One I used originally? Or something more aggressive?

Least aggressive first, check it after a few passes

Thamks. Since this is my first coating. How can I be sure it's gone for sute. Other than the high spot being gone.

The high spot is removed when you can no longer see the high spot

Nice. Be sure to apply more coating in that area as Essence more than likely removed more than what you think.
