    1964 MG MGB roadster

    1964 MG MGB Roadster
    Ivory/Red interior
    109,052 miles

Client was interested in just protecting his still owned since new first vehicle. Wasn’t that concerned with the correction aspect. Plan was to be very conservative in the correction.
The paint was absolutely hammered. Appears to have never been touched in 50+ years! Oxidized, dull, lifeless, cracked, CRAZY swirls, scratches, and anything else you want to throw on top of it…it had it. Single stage paint. But…it has/had patina!
Got super glossy, a lot of the defects/swirls/cracks remained, however, it looks a ton better!

    The ‘details’:

    McKee’s37 914N waterless wash.
    Meg’s #7 wipe/rub down. 3 applications.
    Medium clay bar.
    DoDo born slippery lube.
    DeFelsko PTG.
    Scangrip lighting.
    Flex 3401, pixie, Rupes iBrid.
    LC pads.
    M105/M205.
    Optimum panel wipe.
    Adam’s advanced graphene coating.
    GYEON tire.
    Metro vacuum.
    Pinnacle black label leather conditioner.
    McKee’s37 interior detailer.
    McKee’s37 interior surface protectant.
    Auto finesse glass cleaner.
    McKee’s37 APC.

    Thank you for looking!

Oh man, that is a fantastic job! Great cleanup and transformation! The car, while still great shape for the age, was harsh in some of the paint. Very nice job!!

    Scott....great work!

Love the black wire wheels (I'm sure YOU didn't though, LOL) Would've loved to have seen it with the bumpers removed1964 MG MGB roadster1964 MG MGB roadster

You did some incredible enhancements to that. Wow, same owner all this time. It has aged along with them. I think the battle scars are cool.

    Thanks all! Appreciate the comments!!

Bumpers off would have perhaps 'cleaned up the lines' a bit! Wheels were in decent shape believe it or not.

JD: indeed! Each one has to have a story!

    Silly: It was rough!

Amazing results. Nice before/after pictures on the taillight covers. Seats look so much better.1964 MG MGB roadster How long did it take you to do all that?

What was your process on the vinyl top?
Same question for the chrome bumpers.

    Nice work, Sol!

When he sees it, I'll bet the owners shoes will fall off!!

You should hand him a pair of pliers, so he can tip you 1 of his gold teeth. Lol.
