Really, I'm about coat my car next week with this combo and thought I only had an hour between the 2nd coat of UK and the coat of SiC. I would like the benefit of more time.

There is some confusion. It is 45 min to 1 hour between layering SiC over UK. The 4 hours comes into play when using Gliss as a topper.

It is 45 min to 1 hour to layer over UK. If you miss that window then it is recommended to layer it the day after. For layering SiC it is 45 min to 90 min or the following day if that window is missed. Also one layer of each coating is perfectly fine.

I used SiC when it was new enough to not have instructions or guidance available on the time between that and UK and I went with 4 hours, same I’ve always done with Gliss. Everything worked out fine.

When I found some high spots later due to SiC being trickier to install and polished it off and went to reapply, I did 1 hour between each coat and also had no issues.
